Razor Statement

Reel Feelings is a visual novel dating simulator that combines traditional romance mechanics with an idle fishing game, before gradually introducing increasingly absurd biological discoveries and environmental satire. The project explores how familiar genre conventions can be subverted through narrative escalation and player expectation.
As a solo developer, I was responsible for all aspects of production, including narrative design, writing, programming, user interface implementation, and project management. Developed as my first Ren'Py project, the game provided extensive experience working with Python-based scripting, branching dialogue systems, and relationship mechanics.
The project strengthened my technical skills while demonstrating my interest in narrative-driven experiences that blend character-focused storytelling with unconventional game mechanics.
